February has arrived, and more showbiz news has come in. Time for a round-up!

Netflix unveiled its 2024 film and series streaming slate.  Highlights of the film slate include Zach Snyder's Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver (April 19, 2024), Damsel starring Millie Bobbie Brown (March 8, 2024), and a new SpongeBob SquarePants movie, Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie.

Netflix’s 2024 series slate features Avatar: The Last Airbender (see "Last Airbender"), Dead Boy Detectives, Exploding Kittens (see "'Exploding Kittens' Netflix Series"), The Umbrella Academy Season 4, Sweet Tooth Season 3.  Bridgerton Season 3 in two parts (one coming May 16, 2024 and the other on June 13, 2024), and Cobra Kai Season 6.

Actor Carl Weathers passed away on February 1, 2024.  He was best known as Apollo Creed from the Rocky movies as well as co-starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator.  More recently, he was known by Star Wars fans as bounty hunter agent Greef Karga in The Mandalorian (see "'Mandalorian' Casting").  He was 76 years old.

Universal Pictures announced a release date for the Dog Man movie.  This movie, based on the smash hit kids' book series by Dan Pilkey, is scheduled to hit theaters on January 31, 2025 (see "Best in Shows -- 2025").

Warner Bros. has named Tim Burton the director of the Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman remake, according to Variety.  This movie is based on the 1958 film about a wealthy heiress who grows to epic proportions to take revenge.  This movie will be penned by Gone Girl writer Gillian Flynn (see "'Gone Girl'").

Warner Bros. has cast Milly Alcock as the new Supergirl for DC's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Milly Alcock also recently played Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in Max's House of the Dragon series (see "'House of The Dragon' Trailer").

Colombia Pictures released a new trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (see below).  It will hit theaters on March 22, 2024 (see "'Ghostbusters'").
