Bushiroad revealed plans for two new English-language releases for the Weiss Schwarz trading card game at the recent Bushiroad English Conference Autumn 2024:  Rascal Does Not Dream, scheduled for March release, and Rurouni Kenshin, planned for later in 2025.

Rascal Does Not Dream is a follow-up to 2019’s Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (see “‘Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai’ Joins ‘Weiss Schwarz’”), featuring characters from the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid installments of the series.  This booster pack set will include 100 different card types plus 104 parallel cards, with 4 AoButa Rare, 5 SP, 7 OverFrame Rare, 12 RRR, 76 SR, 10 RR, 22 R, 28 U, 28 C, and 12 Climax Rare cards.  Nine types of hot-stamped signature cards will be randomly inserted in some packs, featuring cast members Yurika Kubo, Nao Toyama, Atsumi Tanezaki, Maaya Uchida, Inori Minase, and Asami Seto.

The set will be sold in eight-card packs available in twelve-pack displays.  Each display will feature one of six possible “Going First/Going Second” cards, and each carton of 24 displays will have an exclusive stitched playmat.  MSRP is $4.30 per pack.

Rurouni Kenshin, based on the manga stories of the master-swordsman Kenshin Himura, will be available in both a Trial Deck and boosters when it launches later in the year.

Weiss Schwarz tournaments will be included in the Bushiroad Championship Series World Finals, held May 2, 2025 at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center.

In December, Bushiroad will release the MACROSS Delta booster set for Weiss Schwarz (see “Bushiroad Announces ‘MACROSS Delta’”).  Weiss Schwarz scored the number seven slot on ICv2’s list of top-selling collectible games for spring 2024 (see “PRO:  Top Collectible Games – Spring 2024”).
