Scorpion Masque has announced Mooki Island, a family-friendly game for two players that will release this summer through Hachette Board Game USA.

In Mooki Island, players try to collect Mookies, the cute and elusive inhabitants of the uncharted island.  The goal is to collect Mookies from different families, while keeping an eye out for shiny Legendary Mookie cards and avoiding the tricky spider Mookie.  Gameplay is simple and kid-friendly, intended to help young players develop skills and strategies for set-collection games.

Mooki Island was created by Florian Sirieix (Imaginarium, Zoo Run) and features artwork by Seppyo (Unlock:  Kids Legendary Stories, Refuge).  The game comes with 36 double-sided Mooki cards, including 5 “shiny” foil cards, 5 Mooki family trophies, and a poster that kids can use to name their own Mookies after each play.  It is intended for two players, ages 4 and up, and takes about 10 minutes to play.  MSRP is $12.99.
