Super Boss Monster was first announced back in March 2024 (see "'Super Boss Monster'"), and is the follow-up to 2012's Boss Monster (see “‘Boss Monster’ Card Game”). It wrapped up its crowd-funding campaign in April 2024, raising $1,339,314 from 14,777 backers (about 91 per backer). The new version offers players new game features such as the Town board, the ability to use minion meeples to boost defense, and a solo mode.

The retail edition is for one to four players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. It will retail for $39.95.
