Super Boss Monster was first announced back in March 2024 (see "'Super Boss Monster'") and is the follow-up to 2012's Boss Monster (see “‘Boss Monster’ Card Game”). It wrapped up its crowd-funding campaign in April 2024, raising $1,339,314 from 14,777 backers (about $91 per backer). The new version offers players new game features such as the Town board, the ability to use minion meeples to boost defense, and a solo mode.

The retail edition is for one to four players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. It will retail for $39.95.
