San Diego Comic-Con is in the books, and lots of Hollywood news has hit the wire. Time for a round-up!

Marvel Studio's The Fantastic Four: First Steps took in $118 at the North American box office in its first weekend, according to Variety Global box office is projected to add an extra $100 million to that number.  These box office results already pass the $167.9 million the last Fantastic Four movie (see "'Fantastic Four'") made in its entire global box office run.

20th Century Studios released a trailer for Predator: Badlands (see below).  This movie stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and is directed by Dan Trachtenberg.  It will hit theaters on November 7, 2025 (see "
Movie Calendar").

Universal Pictures dropped an official trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (see below).  The new movie follows up on the first supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (see "
'Five Nights at Freddy's") with a second visit to the shuttered haunted pizzeria.  It stars Josh Hucherson, Elizabeth Lail, Matthew Lillard, Wayne Knight, McKenna Grace, and Saved by the Bell's Skeet Ulrich and will hit theaters on December 5, 2025.

Amazon Prime Video released an official trailer for Gen V (see below).  Season 2 for the series begins streaming on September 17, 2025 (see "
'Gen V' S2").

AMC revealed a trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 (see below).  Daryl and Carol continue their journey home (see "
'TWD: Daryl Dixon'") via Spain; the new season starts September 7, 2025.  It was also announced that the fourth and final season has started production.

USA Network has cancelled Resident Alien ahead of its Season 4 finale, according to
Variety This show, starring Alan Tudyk, ran for three seasons on SyFy before moving to USA for its final season (see "'Resident Alien' Moves").  The series finale airs August 8, 2025.
