New York Anime Festival scored a double digit attendance increase again this year, with 21,388 unique attendees (not including exhibitors), a 16% increase over last year’s numbers.  This year’s growth is on top of a 24% increase last year (see “NYAF Books 24% Increase”). 

This is the last year that New York Anime Festival will be held on its own; beginning in 2010, it will share dates and space with New York Comic Con, which is moving to fall dates next year (see “New York Comic Con and Anime Festival to Co-Habit”).
