HBO and IDW Publishing will release the True Blood graphic novel, True Blood Vol. 1: All Togther Now, on February 8, 2011. It’s a hardcover collecting all six issues of the first True Blood comic series, co-plotted by True Blood creator Alan Ball, with script by David Tischman (Bite Club) and Mariah Huehner, and art by David Messina; and includes sketches and a cover gallery. It retails for $24.99.

The True Blood comic series debuted in July with the first two issues selling out and going into multiple printings. The first issue sold over 47,000 copies in the comic store channel alone, by our calculations. There's also a True Blood comic app, which has generated good sales, according to IDW. Over-all, this has been one of IDW’s bestselling comics ever, the company said.
