BOOM! Studios will launch an ongoing monthly comic series based on the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time under its KaBOOM! all ages imprint in February. The comic series will be written by Ryan North (Dinosaur Comics), with art by Shelli Paroline (Ice Age: Iced In) and Braden Lamb.
Adventure Time premiered as Adventure Time with Finn and Jake in a short for Random! Cartoons, and was picked up for a series that launched in April 2010. It’s on its third 13-episode season, with two episodes being combined for half-hour shows.
The first issue of the comic will feature three covers in a 75/25 split by Chris Houghton and Jeffrey Brown, plus a 1-in-10 Chris Houghton incentive cover, a 1-in-20 by Jeffrey Brown, and a 1-in-30 wraparaound incentive cover by Chris Houghton.
