Marvel Entertainment and ABC Studios have announced the October 17th release of Castle: Richard Castle’s Storm Season, a second graphic novel inspired by the Castle television series that airs on ABC. The 112-page hardcover Richard Castle’s Storm Season (Rated “T+” $19.99) features Derrick Storm, the fictional private eye created by Richard Castle (played by fan favorite actor Nathan Fillion), the blocked mystery writer protagonist of the series, who tags along with NYPD detective Kate Beckett, the model for Castle’s second series of detective novels that feature the sexy female detective Nikki Heat.

Top Marvel scribe Brian Michael Bendis and Kelly Sue DeConnick, the same duo that wrote the first Castle meta-graphic novel, Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm, have created the story for the second book featuring the hard-charging detective Derrick Storm. Emanuela Lupacchino (X-Factor) is providing the interior art while Dustin Weaver (S.H.I.E.L.D.) created the cover.
