New Disney honcho Alan Horn (see "Alan Horn to Head Disney Studios") is putting a reboot of Dave Stevens’ Rocketeer into development, according to Vulture.  The original film, which came out in 1991, didn’t do well, but perhaps Disney has been inspired by IDW Publishing's recent revival of the property, which includes both new comics and collections of Stevens’ work (see "Mark Waid Writing New 'Rocketeer'"). 

A Blu-ray edition of the film has also been released recently (see "'The Rocketeer'’ Comies to Blu-ray").
