NYCC News: At the New York Comic Con Dark Horse Comics announced two major 2013 book releases, both of which expand DHC’s impressive list of offerings of licensed video game comics and art books.  The Mass Effect Library Edition, which goes on sale on May 22nd, 2013, collects every comic published by Dark Horse so far that is based on the hugely popular Mass Effect action role-playing video games developed by BioWare, while Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Vol. 1, which is due out on April 3, 2013, is an art book dedicated to celebrating the brilliant illustrations used in BioWare’s dark fantasy Dragon Age video games.

All four of Dark Horse’s Mass Effect comic book series (Redemption, Evolution, Invasion, and Homeworlds) are included in the oversize super deluxe Mass Effect Library Edition, which also includes the Mass Effect comic short stories from the MySpace Dark Horse Presents, USA Today, and the Dark Horse Digital Store along with a sketchbook of never-before-seen Mass Effect comic book art.

Dragon Age
The Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Vol. 1 hardcover does contain lots of superb art created for the game property, but this volume also functions as an excellent "sourcebook" for the Dragon Age universe, providing vital information on Dragon Ages’ regions, religions, monsters, magic, and more.  Players of the Dragon Age video games should be able to put all this information to very good use.
