Nathan Edmondson’s Image comic Who is Jake Ellis? has been picked up by Fox, with David Yates attached to direct, according to Hollywood Reporter.
Yates is best known for directing the last four Harry Potter films. Peter Chernin will produce. The project is now searching for writers.
The 2011 5-issue espionage comic written by Edmondson (Olympus, The Light, Grifter) with art by Tonci Zonjic (The Immortal Iron Fist, Lobster Johnson: The Burning Hand ), tells the story of Jon Moore, the most sought after spy-for-hire in Europe’s criminal world. The reason he’s so in demand is because of Jake Ellis, a man invisible to everyone but Moore. When things go bad, only Ellis can protect Moore from Europe’s most dangerous criminals. The series was followed by the sequel Where is Jake Ellis? in 2012, also from Image.
