Seven Seas has announced eight new licenses for 2014, including I Am Alice: Body Swap in Wonderland, three Strike Witches titles, two HAGANAI: I Don’t Have Many Friends titles, Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, and D-Frag!

Strike Witches is a dieselpunk power property with manga, light novels, video games and anime.  Seven Seas had announced at Comic-Con the release of Strike Witches: Maidens of the Sky Vol.1 & 2 planned for early 2014 (see "Seven Seas Adds Three New Manga"), but this new announcement includes Strike Witches: 1937 Fuso Sea Incident Vol.1 and 2 (for August and October 2014 respectively), Strike Witches: The Sky That Connects Us (June), and Strike Witches: One-Winged Witches (January 2015).  The property reimagines WW II as a confrontation between humans and aliens, and stars teen girls with advanced weaponry and magic powers.

Another power property with manga, anime, and light novels, HAGANAI: I Don’t Have Many Friends- Now with 50% More Fail! and HAGANAI: I Don’t Have Many Friends- Club Minutes, are tied to the HAGANAI- I Have No Friends series, also from Seven Seas.  The volumes have been appearing in the mid-250s on Diamond’s Top 300 GN list (see "Top 300 Graphic Novels Actual--October 2013").  Now with 50% More Fail! is a series of one-shot stories, and will be released in July.  Club Minutes is the story of the Neighbors Club, bringing the whole cast back for another misadventure; it’s planned for November 2014.

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer by Satoshi Mizukami is a highly-anticipated series, according to Seven Seas, combining elements of shonen and seinen manga.   It follows an average college student who has to save the world from being smashed by a giant space hammer with the help of a talking lizard and a super-powered space princess.  The 10 volume series will be released in 2-in-1 omnibus format beginning in November.

D-Frag!, by Tomoya Haruno, is an ongoing series that parodies otaku-centric high school club manga like HAGANAI, Genshiken, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.  The series has so far been collected into seven volumes, and an anime series is scheduled for Japanese television in 2014.  D-Frag! Vol. 1 will be released in July 2014, with Vol.2 arriving in September, and Vol. 3 in December.

I Am Alice: Body Swap in Wonderland is a gender-bending take on Alice in Wonderland, with story and art by Ayumi Kanou, who is best known for her Tales of the Abyss manga adaptation of the Namco Bandai video game.  The story has Alice switching bodies with a boy, and the only way for Makoto to switch back is to journey to Heart’s castle and defeat the King of Hearts.  Volume 1 of the planned trilogy will release in September 2014.
