Warner Bros. Animation has released a trailer for Son of Batman, the next direct-to-video animated feature in the popular series of animated adaptations of DC Comics sagas that are targeted at older viewers and contain more violence and mature themes than typical Saturday morning superhero programming aimed at kids.

The next Warner Bros./DC animated feature to hit the streets will be Justice League: War that is slated for release on February 4th.  Son of Batman, which is slated to premiere at WonderCon in April, is based on the 2006 “Batman & Son” story arc written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Andy Kubert that introduced Batman’s son Damian.

TV Guide is reporting that Jason O’Mara, who voiced the Dark Knight in Justice League: War, will return as the Caped Crusader in Son of Batman where he will be joined by Stuart Allan as Damian, Morena Baccarin (V) as Talia, Damian’s mother, David McCallum as Alfred, Xander Berkeley as Man-Bat, Thomas Gibson as Deathstroke, and Giancarlo Esposito as Ra’s Al Ghul.
