Cryptozoic Entertainment has released more details on Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre, the new game based on original IP that it will release in Q1 (see “Cryptozoic Plans ‘Epic Spell Wars’”).  Playing as Battle Wizards, players will compose spells from three components, and will also gain access to special magical items that can be used to unleash additional carnage on their opponents.  And if a Battle Wizard is killed, the new Dead Wizard card deck will keep them in the game gives an edge when the next round of battle begins.

Components include 140 Spell Component cards, 25 Treasure cards, 25 Dead Wizarrd cards, eight oversized hero cards, rulebook, and more.  It will be for two to six players (not three to six as previously reported). 

Epic Spell Wars is “what a caffeine-crazed 13 year old boy would imagine wizards fighting to be like, if the boy were a psychopath with a great sense of humor,” Cryptozoic President and CCO Cory Jones said.
