Cheapass Games has funded its latest planned release Get Lucky, a card game version of the Kill Doctor Lucky board game, via Kickstarter, and will release the game to trade in April.
The new card game, designed by James Ernest, is for 2 – 6 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in about 20 minutes. The goal, as the Dr. Lucky pawn is passed to a player, is to kill Dr. Lucky on their turn with cards in their hand, but other players can thwart the assassination attempt with cards from their hands. The game contains 72 cards (with Victorian character artwork by Israel Evans), one black pawn and rules. MSRP is set at $16.95 and the game will release to trade in April.
The game has garnered more than $67,000 from over 2,000 backers, with a little over two days to go on Kickstarter.
