Stronghold Games and Artipia Games have announced a strategic partnership for co-publishing games from Artipia. Stronghold will handle the sale of Artipia games in North America, Australia, and Asia. By printing both Artipia and Stronghold copies of games at Ludofact Germany, the companies will be able to achieve nearly simultaneous release across Artipia’s customers in Europe and Stronghold’s customers in its territories.
The first game to be published under the new arrangement is Among the Stars, which will be previewed in August at Gen Con and be distributed to retailers in September. In Among the Stars, players take the role of an alien race trying to build the greatest space station in a war-ravaged galaxy where warring races have declared peace and are building the space stations to defend against a common threat. Among the Stars will retail for $49.95.
After the release of the base game, other Among the Stars products are planned, including the expansion Among the Stars: The Ambassadors and Among the Stars: The Promos and The Promos Two (which will contain the latest set of promo cards, tied to Artipia’s Kickstarter).
