Bandai Entertainment has acquired the sci-fi comic anime series Galaxy Angel AA for DVD release.  The 26-episode series will be released in four volumes.

The series focuses on a quintet of 'Galaxy Angels' who most protect each planet in the galaxy, and they do, but in the most mischievous ways possible.

The first volume will include eight 12-minute episodes with both dubbed and subtitled options.  Its release date is scheduled for June 19th, with a SRP of $24.98.  Three subsequent six episode volumes will follow the initial release.

Galaxy Angel will be getting a lot of exposure this year, with Bandai sister company Bandai Visual picking up another Galaxy Angel property, Galaxy Angel Rune, for stateside DVD release (see 'Geneon to Distribute Bandai Visual USA').
