Cards Inc. has announced that it has acquired licenses to produce trading cards and CCGs based on four classic TV series -- The Saint (which starred Roger Moore), The Prisoner (the cult 1960s series starring Patrick McGoohan), Space 1999 (starring Martin Landau and Barbara Bain), and UFO (a British series created by Gerry (Thunderbirds) and Sylvia Anderson).  Each series will have a mini-preview set that will be released in advance of the main series. 

The first release will be the trading card series based on The Prisoner, which is planned for March 2002.  Special cards in the series will include fifteen autographs and costume cards made from two costumes from the original series.  There will be a standard 36 packs per box, with an MSRP of $1.99 per pack.  The second release will be the trading card series based on The Saint, which is scheduled for April.  The only CCG planned for 2002 will be based on The Prisoner.
