Writing in his 'Deanspeak' cyber-diary at the Jinglebelle.com Website, Paul Dini has confirmed that he is co-producing and writing episodes for a new Krypto cartoon, based on the DC Comics character. Krypto, of course, is Superman's pet canine, and the notion of a Krypto animated series has been in the air for quite some time (see 'What's the Next DC Animated Series'). Speculation is that the new Krypto animated series will debut on the Cartoon Network in 2005, but time will tell. Meanwhile Dini also announced that he has written 'a short, goofy Krypto tale for the next volume of Bizarro Stories.'
