Professional fees in the Diamond bankruptcy case continue to mount, with over $1.9 million in fees billed for March.  The new fees include:

  • $537,384 for Diamond attorneys Saul Ewing
  • $498,286 for restructuring consultants Getzler Henrich
  • $451,625 for unsecured creditor attorneys Lowenstein Sandler LLP
  • $119,921 for unsecured creditor local counsel Tydings & Rosenberg
  • $324,683 for unsecured creditor consultants Berkeley Research Group

The fees from these same professionals for the period between the filing in January and the end of February totaled $2.6 million (see "Fees Bring Challenges").  So the total fees through the end of March for these firms total $4.57 million.

These fees are all prior to the two lawsuits by Alliance Entertainment, which likely created significant expense, even though the first Alliance Entertainment suit was dropped a few days after it was filed in early April (see "Alliance Sues").  The second lawsuit was filed in late April (see "Alliance Sues Again"), and has not been resolved.
