Jerry Ringi of Amazing Fantasy Comics in Chesepeake, Virginia saw Marvel's new terms and wasn't happy.

Once again Marvel has shown its contempt for the direct market in it's attempt to make more money and climb out of debt.  I hope they understand that hurting the retailer does not make this a stronger market.  I think the adjustment part of their program is a step in the right direction but it's at a price and a smoke screen to decrease our discount.  They keep this up and I'm thinking of going to newsstand titles.  Hmm, if all retailers did this what would Marvel do then?  Of course getting all retailers to do anything to help themselves is mission impossible.  We will never ever get a fair shake until we talk as one voice with full backing.
