The first :30 ad for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was released Sunday night, completing a weekend that saw rumors of the new series’ pick-up on Friday morning, a formal announcement Friday afternoon (see "'Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Gets Series Order"), a teaser Sunday morning, and the first video ad out Sunday night. You’d almost think they wanted us to notice this show.
The marketing is clearly trying to connect S.H.I.E.L.D. to Avengers, despite only a single character that appears in both, with this tag line in the ad: "The saga that began in Marvel’s Avengers continues on television."
A :30
