An ICv2 Release.  ICv2 has announced the release of the ICv2 Guide #39: Anime/Manga, which is being released to the trade by Alliance Game Distributors, Diamond Comic Distributors, GTS Distribution, Lion Rampant, and others.  This marks the first publication of the ICv2 Guide, a new umbrella title that replaces three previously published ICv2 magazines, ICv2's Retailers Guide to Anime/Manga, ICv2 Retailers Guide to Graphic Novels, and ICv2 Retailers Guide to Games (see 'The ICv2 Guide -- Inside Pop Culture').

ICv2 Guide #39 includes all the features that have made previous issues of ICv2's Retailers Guide to Anime/Manga so valuable to retailers, publishers, and librarians -- ICv2's market reports, its authoritative lists of the 'Top 50 Manga Properties' and the 'Top 25 Anime Properties,' and previews of all the major anime and manga releases in the coming months (along with ICv2's Pick Hits), but the new ICv2 Guide also includes reviews of both anime and manga releases from noted librarians and retailers as well as from the ICv2 staff.

Another innovation in the new Anime/Manga Guide is ICv2's survey of major American manga publishers, which provides readers with look at the number of volumes of manga published in 2005 and 2006 as well as the publisher's projections of what they will be releasing in 2007.
