According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers and producer Lauren Shuler Donner are developing a movie based on DC's Metal Men. Eric Champnella (Mr. 3000, Say Uncle) has been tapped to write and comic book writer Geoff Johns, who has helped develop the film, will be executive producer.  Gregory Noveck will oversee the development on behalf of DC.

The Metal Men story features a brilliant scientist and his creations: six independent-thinking superhero robots with abilities related to their metals (gold, iron, lead, tin, mercury and platinum).

Shuler Donner has experience bringing other comic books to the movies, including X-Men and Constantine.
