Bandai Entertainment has announced that it will release the Sola and True Tears anime under its Anime Legend imprint.  The Bandai Entertainment Anime Legend releases will be subtitled only, with a single, comprehensive product for each title.  Thirteen episodes of Sola, along with two OVAs, will be released at a $44.98 MSRP.  The entire series collection of True Tears will be released at $39.98 MSRP. 

The titles were originally licensed to Bandai Visual (see “Bandai Visual Announces Two New Series” and “Bandai Visual to Release Sola”), and had most recently been planned as subbed and dubbed Honneamise releases (see “Bandai Visual Teams with Image Entertainment”), in the wake of Bandai Visual’s shuttering (see “Bandai Visual to Shut Down”). 

Bandai has also announced that it will release the Blu-ray edition of Akira in the U.S.
