Universal Home Entertainment has announced the January 9th release of the Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0 (MSRP $49.99).   The 4-disc set contains all ten episodes from the first half of the critically-acclaimed series’ final season plus both Original Broadcast Version (88 minutes) and the Unrated Extended Version of (101 minutes) of the special feature length double episode, Razor (see “BSG Season Premiere in Theaters,” Razor has been released separately on DVD).

Each of the four discs includes deleted scenes from the episodes it contains plus commentaries and podcasts from series producer Ronald D. Moore and writers Michael Taylor and Michael Angeli.  Altogether there are more than 10 hours of bonus features included on the set with lots of featurettes such as “The Look of Battlestar Galactica,” “Cylons: The Twelve,” “The Journey,” and “David Eick’s Video Blogs.”
