GAMA President Rick Loomis told ICv2 that the organization was not behind the Gen Con Acquisition Group that made an eleventh hour offer for Gen Con’s assets just as it was about to file its plan for emerging from bankruptcy (see “Eleventh Hour Offer for GenCon”).  “GAMA is not purchasing nor attempting to purchase nor planning to purchase Gencon,” Loomis said.  “We have always worked well with Peter [Adkison, current owner of Gen Con], and we wish the new owners (should they succeed in their deal) all the best.”

This leaves the identity of the Gen Con Acquisition Group, represented by a Louisville, Kentucky law firm, still a mystery.
