X-Men Origins: Wolverine star Hugh Jackman has recorded a brief video promoting Free Comic Book Day and the fight against illiteracy. The PSA-like announcement is available on YouTube and is packaged with a two-and-a-half minute trailer for Wolverine, in theaters May 1.
In the clip (available here), Jackman talks about FCBD on May 2 and stresses the importance of encouraging children to read at an early age. He calls comic books "a really fantastic way to captivate the attention of young readers and send them off on a lifelong love of reading."
