In what has to be a marketing first for the home video market, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is offering fans of the cult TV series Dollhouse the opportunity to purchase a special limited edition Blu-Ray or DVD of the series’ first season at the San Diego Comic-Con International.  Only 5,000 (2,500 Blu-ray, 2,500 DVD) individually numbered sets have been created for this promotion.  Each includes a personal letter from Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon and features exclusive Comic-Con packaging.

The exclusive Comic-Con Dollhouse Season 1 Sets can be ordered in advance through the FoxStore.com, but purchasers will have to arrange to pick them up (or have them picked up—photo ID required) at the Fox Booth at Comic-Con starting on Preview Night, July 22nd.  A limited number of sets will be held for sale at Comic-Con.  Regular versions of both the BD and conventional DVD Dollhouse sets will be on sale everywhere on July 28th.
