Yen Press is bringing back D.N.Angel by Yukiru Sugisaki, the shojo series that topped the BookScan graphic novel chart when it was first released in the U.S. in the mid-2000s (see “D.N.Angel Tops BookScan List”).  Yen made the announcmement at Sakura-Con 2025, where it also announced two new licenses for its Ize Press imprint.

D.N.Angel, the story of a teenager who turns into a phantom thief whenever he has romantic feelings, was first published in English by Tokyopop, which released 13 volumes before it stopped its manga program in 2011.  VIZ Media later picked up the digital rights for Kindle.  The series was also adapted into a television anime which is currently not available for streaming in English.  Yen Press did not provide any information on release date or MSRP for the new edition.

Yen also announced Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Home Alone, by Hajime Kamoshida and Tsukako Akina, another volume in the series that began with Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, which Yen licensed in 2019 (see “Yen Press”).  The Rascal manga are based on a series of light novels which have been adapted into anime.

Ize Press had two announcements to make at the show. The Merman Trapped in My Lake, by Mitchu and R.PPOBI, is a supernatural fantasy romance about an heiress who is trying to restore her dukedom and her relationship with a beautiful merman.  The comic is serialized on the Webtoon platform, where it currently has over 100,000 followers and over 1 million views.

I Love Amy, by unni, is a friends-to-lovers story and the first girls love series published by Ize Press.  The high school romance is complete in four volumes.
