Upper Deck has released  a statement expressing its satisfaction with the settlement of its long-running litigation with Konami (see “Upper Deck and Konami Settle Lawsuit”), calling it a “successful resolution.” 

“Upper Deck is extremely pleased with the cooperative resolution with Konami,” the statement said.  “Sometimes it simply takes a courtroom, the presence of a jury, and the start of a trial….”

The settlement provides for structured payments by Upper Deck, and made permanent the injunction against Upper Deck selling Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products.
