Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has announced that it will be holding the next Shonen Jump Championship Event for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center on April 24th and 25th.  The event will be the 75th Shonen Jump Championship event since the YGO TCG arrived in the U.S. in 2002.  Konami estimates that over the years more than 35,000 players have participated in the various Shonen Jump events.

The doors will open at 8 am on April 24th for registration with the first round of competition slated for 10 am.  For a registration fee of $20, Duelists will receive five Absolute Powerforce Booster Packs as well as an event-exclusive 75th Shonen Jump Championship Game Mat.  The top eight finalists will receive the rare “Dark End Dragon” Shonen Jump Championship card as will two other finalists from bonus events held on Sunday.  The top 32 players will receive an invitation to the U.S. National Championship. Prizes for the top Duelists include paid travel to the Nationals (for the #1 player) plus personal music players, video games, and subscriptions to Shonen Jump.
