Andy Battaglia of Comics Etc. in Rochester, New York read the recent article regarding Diamond's "day early delivery" survey (see "Diamond Surveys Tuesday Comics") and had this to say:
I cannot understand why there are those in this industry who don't get that we have Wednesdays to ourselves. We have established Wednesdays as our day and it is a legitimate event every week. Why would we want to compete with all the industries that release on Tuesdays, rather than have our own special day? It makes no sense whatsoever.
Wednesday is well established in the minds of customers. Why screw that up? I hope retailers really think about their choice when completing Diamond's survey and I hope Diamond takes into account that this continually faltering industry does not need to contribute even more to its own demise than it already is. Keep comic day on Wednesdays.
