Robert Rodriguez is working on the script for Sin City 2, which reportedly will be based on A Dame to Kill For, and hopes to direct the film after he finishes rebooting his Spy Kids franchise with Spy Kids 4: Armageddon.  Rodriguez told MovieWeb “I'm trying to actually find the time to do it because I know I'm doing Spy Kids 4: Armageddon next.  It’s a re-boot of my own series from ten years ago, but then I’ll have an open slot, so Sin City 2 could go after that.”

Rodriguez has also had the option on Mike Allred’s Madman comic book series since 1998, and he told MovieWeb, “Yeah, that’s still on the plate too, I love that project and talk to Mike Allred about that all the time.”
