The finale of Season 2 of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, “Epitaph 2,” was set ten years after the previous episodes of the series, a gap that is explored in the Dark Horse comic book, Dollhouse: Epitaphs, which was written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, who wrote the “Epitaph” episodes for both seasons of Dollhouse and are currently writing for the Starz series Spartacus. Dollhouse was cancelled by Fox after just two seasons (see “Dollhouse Cancelled”).
Buffy the Vampire Slayer stalwart Cliff Richards, who has probably drawn more Joss Whedon-related comics than any other artist, handles the illustration chores for the Dollhouse: Epitaphs comic that will be available at the San Diego Comic-Con where the artists involved will be signing at the Dark Horse Booth, and will also be included with both the Dollhouse Season 2 DVD and the Dollhouse Season 2 Blu-ray, which will be released on October 12th.
