Sony has definitely been coy about the female leads in the new Spider-Man film. Just yesterday Deadline reported that Emma would play Mary Jane Watson and four other actresses were vying for the role of Gwen Stacy (see “Emma Stone to Play MJ”). Today Sony announced via press release that Stone would be playing Gwen. Stay tuned for further developments.
