4Kids announced in its quarterly financial report that it has closed down TC Digital Games and TC Websites, ending its Chaotic TCG and the associated Website.  4Kids had supported the initiative with millions in support both for the game and the Website, but was never able to generate significant revenues from either.  There had been no revenue from Chaotic for at least two quarters (see “4Kids Losses Continue”). 

The shutdown of Chaotic operations will save the company around $1 million per quarter.

4Kids reported losses of $3 million for the quarter, although the cash burn was only $700,000.  This level of cash burn, if it can be maintained, extends the runway during which 4Kids can attempt a turnaround and continue to sell the company or its operations; it currently has around $15 million in cash in securities left.  It recently launched its all-anime Toonzai programming block on the CW network.
