Comparable store sales at Barnes & Noble were up 9.7% for the holiday season, the company announced today.  But sales were not all books; the company said that its sales were “driven” by the company’s Nook device (see ‘B&N Introduces Color Nook”). 

B&N achieved its highest single day sales ever on December 23rd.
