Wendy Goldberg, comics and manga scholar, comments on the title used for ICv2's recent weekly Box Office column (see "Geezers Push 'Unknown' to the Top").
"Geezers?" Really? I had to read this headline a couple times because I thought for sure you weren't saying what you were saying. It's bad enough that the business of pop culture is directed toward a younger demographic but to perpetuate ageist stereotypes in your headline was very much a poor choice. "Geezers" is a term of derision for older men.
As a researcher who follows the business side of the comics industry, I usually find your articles interesting and insightful; this headline appears to be out of the norm. However, I thought I would pass on my thoughts.
