Image Comics has announced a partnership with Visionary Comics and Pinnacle Entertainment to bring the award-winning Deadlands RPG to the world of comics. Image will publish four Deadlands one-shot, self-contained comics featuring Deadlands Weird Western adventures.

 

The first Deadlands comic will be released in June, with a new comic due out every month through September. Image has assembled all-star creative teams including David Gallaher, Steve Ellis, Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray, Lee Moder, Ron Marz, Bart Sears, Steve Niles, Francisco Francavilla, and Michael Atiyeh.

 

Each book will present a story set in a world that gamers will recognize brought to life, while non-gamers who enjoy westerns, horror, or steampunk will be introduced to a world of magic, shadows, and six-guns. Each book will also include a portion of a 4-part back-up story so that those who buy the four issues will get a fifth story free.
