Oni Press is planning a summer comics event around Rick and Morty, with a core event series and three tie-in one-shots, to launch in July.
Rick and Morty vs. the Universe, the event series, will be a four-issue monthly series written by Daniel Kibblesmith with art by Jarrett Williams, launching with a first issue on sale July 9. The three one-shots, co-written by Kibblesmith with guest talent, will be released in August, September, and October.
The storyline has Rick planning a bachelor party for Dimension C-137 that goes south, putting Rick and Morty on the run from every single universe.
The A cover of Rick and Morty vs. the Universe #1 will be by Dave Bardin, B cover by Troy Little, and C cover by Juan Gedeon; with interlocking 1:10 variant by Flops, a 1:20 event variant cover by Tom Fowler, a 1:50 Prime Variant by Jarrett Williams, and a 1:100 Wedding Variant by Rian Gonzales.
