A Squared, Archie, and Stan Lee’s POW Entertainment have teamed up to create a new entertainment property starring a character based on Arnold Schwarzenegger. Comics from Archie and an animated TV series, 3-D movie, and consumer products program from A Squared are planned. Stan Lee’s POW will oversee creative direction and story development for all aspects of the property. The property was premiered at global entertainment conference MIPTV in Cannes with Schwarzenegger in attendance.
The storyline will feature the recently retired governor of California deciding to take on global villainy and disasters with the help of a team of teens. He’ll be living a double life with his heroics a secret even from his family.
The alliance between A Squared, Archie, and POW was first announced early last year (see “Stan Lee and Archie Comics”).
