Crossroads Games LLC has announced a new collaborative family board game based on the epic heroes and stories of the Bible.

 

In Crossroads, up to four players work together to complete a goal in one of four epic Biblical stories. Players place tiles, create a map and move around the board in the hope of achieving a goal set forth by one of four story cards. Each story also has four challenges the players must overcome to achieve that goal. To face these challenges, players choose a traveler card and a “Psalter” or group of prayer cards that will provide additional support for their journey.  Three “lots” or six-sided dice provide a random element to the game as well.  

 

The game, which will combine elements of board and collectible card game play, will first be released in a starter set in both English and Spanish speaking versions for around $30. In addition, Crossroads Inc is providing an incentive to anyone preordering the game. The first 10,000 boxes sold will arrive before the official release and each will be a numbered box, with a certificate of authenticity and a special selection of promotional cards.
