DC Comics has acquired the comic rights to the Jon Land novel The Seven Sins: The Tyrant Ascending, according to Variety. The novel tells the story of a child who’s raised by a Mafia boss in Sicily after his parents were murdered. Using the power of his father’s medallion, he ends up building an empire in Vegas, including the Seven Sins casino. 

 

King Midas World Entertainment is trying to build a transmedia franchise based on the property, including a film series, which is in development.
