Ray Stevenson, who played Volstagg, one of the Warriors Three, in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor, will portray the Cobra ninja master Firefly in G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes, which will be directed by John M. Chu and is slated for release in August of 2012.

Stevenson joins a cast that includes Channing Tatum, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ray Park, Lee Byung-hun, Elodie Yung, RZA, and Adrianne Palicki (see “Spurned Wonder Woman Joins ‘Joe’ Cast”).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stevenson will be seen next as Porthos in Summit Entertainments new version of The Three Musketeers, which is due to be released in 3-D on October 21st.
