Cubicle Seven is premiering the first of its three epic LOTR-based RPGs, The One Ring: Over the Edge of the Wild, at Gen Con Indy, which will be held from August 4-7 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The game will debut at GenCon and will then be given a wider release later in the month. The One Ring: Over the Edge of the Wild was written by Francesco Nepitello, the designer of the critically acclaimed War of the Rings board game.
Over the Edge of the Wild consists of two full color books, a 128-page Loremaster’s Guide and for GMs and a 192-page Adventurers Book for players that are packaged in an elegant slipcase decorated with art by renowned Tolkien artist John Howe. Over the Edge of the Wild is set during the interim between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and will be followed by two additional similarly packaged games that will take the players through the entire “Ring” cycle of Tolkien’s narrative (see “Cubicle Seven’s LOTR RPG Will Be Epic”).
