Archaia Entertainment presented a new deluxe boxed set version of the award-winning Mouse Guard Role Playing Game at the recent Gen Con game fair.  Mark Smylie of Archaia told ICv2 that the boxed set has shipped to distributors, and is expected to hit retailer shelves in the next couple of weeks.

 

The new boxed set includes a softcover version of the original rules book and a 48 page supplemental book with new adventures, characters, and optional rules.  A variety of game aids are also in the box, including a GM screen, special “mouse dice” and “mouse pawns,” a map of the territories of the mouse world, a pad of GM sheets, a pad of character sheets, and cards.  The suggested retail price for the Mouse Guard Role Playing Game Box Set is $69.95.

 

The rulebook offers slightly updated rules, including all current errata.

 

The Mouse Guard Role Playing Game was the winner of the 2009 Origins Award for “Best Role-Playing Game” (see “‘Pandemic,’ ‘Awakening the Bear’ Win ‘Origins’”).  It is based on the Eisner Award-winning all-ages comic book Mouse Guard.
