Rittenhouse Archives has acquired the rights to create trading cards for some of the hottest properties going including the white hot HBO series Game of Thrones, and True Blood as well Marc Webb’s movie reboot of the Spider-Man franchise, The Amazing Spider-Man. True Blood is a flat-out cult hit with lots of spin-offs including a popular comic book and graphic novel series, while Game of Thrones is a major ratings hit that has also inspired a forthcoming comic book graphic novel spin-off (see “Preview: George R.R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones #1”).
Rittenhouse has announced the new acquisitions on the wall of its Facebook page. No dates were given for the release of any of the projects, though the Spider-Man cards will likely be out in June in time for the July 3rd, 2012 release of the movie.
