Image will release Our Love Is Real, by Sam Humphries and Steven Sanders, in December. Image picked up the book after the first print run of #1 sold out in nine hours, and the second printing in a week; both are now going for over $100 on eBay. 

The creators are offering some special promotional efforts to support sales of the book. A pre-order app for the title allows fans to pre-order the book online and then pick it up from participating retailers in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. A signed and numbered limited edition “Crystal Edition” retailer incentive (which may allow retailers to tap into the demand that’s driving the big eBay prices on #1) is being offered with orders of 25 copies or more. And they’ve set up a retailer resource page, where retailers can read a full PDF of the book, sign up to participate in the pre-order app, or get information on the title. 

Our Love Is Real is a science fiction comic book in an unusual 24-page, 8” x 8” format.  The storyline takes place in a future when plantsexuals riot for equal rights, humans fall in love with dogs, and crystals are more than jewelry.
